What do the unbidden want in Stellaris? ›

Malevolent, war-like and beyond "normal" comprehension, the Unbidden wage an endless war for something they call the Throne of Eternity, the right to which is measured solely in the energy of all living things, from the most insignificant bacterium to the most powerful intergalactic species.

Nerve stapled species are essentially like animals, only a little bit smarter perhaps, because they can still do menial labor. But they have no ambitions, emotions or higher thinking other than their most natural desires (reproduction, hunger, thirst, sleeping).

The Unbidden make heavy use of Shields themselves, but their ships have no Armor. Autocannons, railguns, and missiles are therefore very effective against them, as are Disruptors. Unbidden fleets are glass cannons, fragile if you have the right counters but capable of devastating firepower.

The Unbidden have an 80% chance to spawn every 5 years immediately after one of these triggers are met (that is: every year divisible by 5), and the total chance for any crisis to spawn increases to nearly 100% after 20 endgame years and/or the finishing/prevention of the War in Heaven.

The origin of "xeno-" is from the Late Latin, from Greek, from "xenos" meaning stranger, guest, or host. Xeno- and xen- are variant forms of the same prefix. Basically the community uses it instead of 'alien. '

Using the diplomacy or espionage window for another Empire, players can assign an Envoy from their limited pool to start building a Spy Network. This will begin raising the Network's Infiltration level, which represents how deeply they've infiltrated the target Empire and how much information they've discovered.
