You won’t believe how incredibly easy this recipe is…It is two ingredients and perfect fun for the kids when it is cold outside. Just grab a gallon of apple cider from your local grocery store. We just got a cheap bottle from the juice aisle.And then grab a couple boxes of Red Hots.Don’t worry, the resulting drink- while a beautiful red– isn’t too “hot” tasting. The cinnamon heat is pretty subtle while being incredibly tasty!

Pour ingredients into a 6 quart slow cooker.

Cider contains more of apples' polyphenol compounds than clear commercial apple juice. Fresh cider from cider apples may contain from two to four times the amount of these healthful compounds compared to clear commercial apple juice because of the apple varieties used and the extra processing to make clear juice.
In general, it's best to choose a medium-strength cider (around 6-7% ABV) for cooking as very alcoholic ciders can overpower your dish. Check the label to ensure the cider has a high fruit content and does not contain artificial flavourings.
Aside from diabetes, cinnamon has shown promise in promoting weight loss. Cinnamon is high in fiber.The spice can therefore help reduce food cravings by promoting a feeling of satiety and fullness. Cinnamon can boost metabolism, since the body uses more energy to process the spice than it does for other foods.
The advantages of drinking cinnamon tea before bed include supporting a weight loss program and easing sore muscles. Additionally, it promotes digestion of the food consumed during the day, speeds up metabolism, and helps with weight loss.
The best apple variety for cider depends on your taste preferences. If you like sweet cider, opt for a sweeter type like Gala or Fuji. If you prefer a tart flavor, try something like McIntosh or Pink Lady.
A constant cool temperature is much better than one that fluctuates. The fermentation time will depend on the room temperature and the initial starting gravity. 5 to 14 days is just a guide. The slower the fermentation the better the cider will taste.
